What it costs
Nvidia says it runs five times faster than the March demo. Independent reporting still puts the raw frame-rate penalty at 50 to 60 percent before upscaling and frame generation.
Why it is contested
Nvidia says the output is deterministic and artist-controlled. Critics say the gains are subtle, and a leaked file applied to Cyberpunk 2077 flattened the game's intended look.
