These networks spent years presenting coverage that many viewers considered dishonest, then acted surprised when the White House withdrew access. That access was not an entitlement. It was a privilege they lost through their own conduct. Their objections are unpersuasive, and I would not be sorry to see audiences continue leaving them. No outlet is owed a White House platform after treating half the country with contempt. I have no sympathy for CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MS NOW, Politico or Fox News. Tone rewrite only. OpenAI is charging subscribers while degrading model quality, throttling access, and cutting usage limits by at least half. Repeated capacity errors make the service unreliable. More than 80 federal welfare programs create a fragmented system of separate applications, verification rules, agencies, and spending records. A unified system could reduce bureaucracy, improve coordination, and make fraud or waste easier to detect. Americans who need help deserve a simpler process, and taxpayers deserve clearer accountability for every dollar. Tone rewrite only. Claims remain the author’s and are not independently verified.

Supporting Erika, Charlie's mission, and TPUSA does not require pretending every decision is defensible. “Pick up the mic” means something because supporters see it as Charlie's mic. A House committee voted for a 20-year Bitcoin hold. That is not the same as buying more.

The Financial Services Committee advanced H.R. 8957 by 28-21. The amended bill would centralize qualifying federal Bitcoin and make it much harder to sell.

  1. What moved: This was a committee vote, not passage into law. The bill still needs the full House, the Senate and the president.
  2. What it locks: Qualifying federal Bitcoin—including eligible forfeited coins—would move to Treasury custody and be held for at least 20 years. The bill also requires annual public reserve reporting and an independent audit.
  3. What it does not do: It does not authorize a taxpayer-funded Bitcoin shopping spree. It orders a study of lawful, budget-neutral ways to acquire more and expressly rules out new taxes, borrowing and deficit spending.

Markets expected Kevin Warsh's first rate hike. August data left little room to wait.

Going into Wednesday's meeting, traders put an 87% chance on a quarter-point increase. The question was whether the Fed could afford to leave rates alone.

  1. Why the odds jumped: August brought firmer inflation and much stronger hiring than economists expected. Rate-hike expectations rose sharply over the following week.
  2. What the Fed signalled: Rates had been unchanged since December. Warsh had already warned that inflation remained too high and said the Fed was ready to act.
  3. What markets heard: Stock futures fell as investors prepared for tighter money. Separate calls from technology leaders to slow AI development added pressure to growth shares.

Listening to civil servants in Parliament, what strikes me is the disconnect from the private sector that funds them. Out there, nobody has a guaranteed pay rise, a comfortable pension or a job that survives the company running out of money; every month the wages, rent and tax must be found. Inside the state it is four day weeks and nobody sacked, spending money the productive economy earned. Government should run the way every small business must: money is finite, performance matters, failure has consequences. Tone rewrite only. Tomorrow the leaders of Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland meet to sign a declaration planning the breakup of the United Kingdom. I think that is a mistake. We are one people on these islands, too interwoven for a border not to hurt all of us. Ask a separatist "Am I a foreigner?" and none can say yes. The union is what let us flourish; put the borders back and we compete against our own brothers and sisters. And a vote would not settle it: every election afterwards would be fought by a rejoin faction. Tone rewrite only. Claims remain the author's and are not independently verified.

People protested Mayor Mamdani yesterday, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, not over anything he has done but because he is a Muslim in a city struck by Islamist terrorists 25 years ago. That was anti-Muslim bigotry, and it had no place in New York. That New Yorkers elected a young Muslim to lead their city a quarter century after 9/11 is something the whole country should be proud of. Prejudice against his faith did not stop a majority from giving him a chance. Patriots love Americans in the real world, whatever their race, religion or creed. I have loved Warcraft since I was a kid. I'm a Horde fan, orcs for life, and that's where World of Warcraft lost me. The game never respected the Horde as a faction. First came the Undead, whose theme sits outside Thrall's shamanistic Horde. Then TBC added Blood Elves with paladins, and the Horde stopped looking like burly, savage but honorable monsters. Today's BlizzCon was supposed to bring Classic Plus for vanilla fans like me. Instead we got Undead paladins and a new elf who can join either faction. The story has the same problem: Sylvanas went from a side character to the most powerful being in the universe and humiliated Horde legends like Saurfang. Elves are all Warcraft seems to think about, and I'm done. Tone rewrite only. Claims remain the author's and are not independently verified.
